COMPANY HISTORY

Xefco founders, Brian Conolly and Tom Hussey (CEO), began development of advanced textile technologies over a decade ago at Zhik™, a leading sailing technology company in Sydney, Australia.

These advanced textile technologies were developed together with leading Australian research institutes including the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) and Deakin University.  Through these partnerships, the XReflex™, Avlare™ and XSP™ technologies were developed to address challenges faced in textile and garment manufacturing industries.

Today, Xefco manufactures advanced textiles, fabrics and insulations for performance sporting apparel, fashion and military market spaces.  Our technologies mark improvements in functionality while also providing improvements to environmental sensitivity.  Our mission is to continue research and development of technologically advanced textiles and manufacturing methods with a primary focus on functional improvements, sustainable manufacturing and reducing resource consumption.  Xefco, with our partners, share the vision of a more sustainable future for the textile and garment industries by improving and developing new experimental textiles and manufacturing methods.
