Radiant Barrier Technology

XReflex is an ultra-thin radiant barrier technology applied to textiles using advanced vapour deposition. It reflects body heat back to the wearer, increasing heat retention for thinner, lighter, warmer garments.

This high performance coating is applied to one side of the fabric using advanced vapour deposition, creating a sleek, lightweight layer only nanometres in scale.

Like a mirror for heat, XReflex reflects radiant warmth back to the body instead of losing it to the environment, so garments stay warmer without added insulation bulk.

¹Savings based on the production of jackets with an average 200g insulation, where two XReflex radiant barrier layers are used. This assembly allows insulation weight to be reduced by half, from 80gsm to 40gsm, saving approximately 100g insulation per jacket.

How it works

Our Fabrics

XReflex provides a wide range of tested and validated thermal performance fabrics.

Recycled fabric option are available and can incorporate additional finishes such as DWR and calendering.

We also work with recycled insulation systems to help optimise warmth, weight and overall product performance during development.

Weather Barrier

Combines XReflex radiant barrier technology with windproof, light rain–resistant protection. Designed for outer layers, delivering up to 50% greater heat retention.

Down Barrier

Down-proof fabrics designed for internal down bags, replacing conventional materials while increasing heat retention by up to 30% with no added weight.

Wovens

A range of versatile woven fabrics for shell or lining layers, delivering up to 60% greater heat retention in lightweight assemblies.

Stretch Wovens

A range of flexible, high-performance fabrics for shell or lining applications, delivering up to 60% greater heat retention with added comfort and mobility.

Scrim
